In QUESO you're new to us

Meet the team

Our Community of Trusted Professionals and Peers

Founded in 2021, The Ally Co. exists to help teams surface and shift unspoken power dynamics to deepen connection, build capacity, and amplify impact.

We’re grateful to collaborate with a trusted community of peers - owners and operators, coaches and consultants, and values-aligned professionals who bring a wide range of experiences, perspectives, and expertise. They are more than collaborators in our work; they are people and organizations we wholeheartedly recommend. If you see alignment with your needs, we’d be more than happy to make an introduction and help you connect.

Together, we are building a community grounded in trust, shared purpose, and the conscious use of power—so that leaders and organizations can create meaningful impact that lasts.

Living our Values

Our core values are the compass that connects and guides us as a collective. They ground us, hold us accountable, and shape how we show up for ourselves and for others. At The Ally Co., we don’t just talk about our values - we put them into practice through our choices, our actions, and the impact we aim to create. This is the way (yes, Star Wars fans, we see you).

Power-conscious

We use power proactively with care, skill, and wisdom. This means we understand the different types of power and how they show up in relationships. It also means, that in our own power, we acknowledge our privilege, invite feedback, and act both consciously and responsibly.

Systems-aware

Meaningful change requires an awareness of systemic forces, and the skill and willingness to challenge the status-quo. This means we seek to create understanding, alignment, and agreement by exploring different experiences and beliefs, power dynamics, structures, and other deeply rooted forces.

Human-centred

Human connection, belonging, and impact are the heart of our work. This means we endeavour to lead with empathy and compassion - activating deep listening and meaningful dialogue to understand people's true needs, values, and goals.

Always learning

We live and thrive at our growth edges. This means we step outside of our comfort zones and lean into compassionate curiosity, experimentation, and transformation. It also means we do not have all the answers and work hard to avoid "expertitis".

Creatively simple

We are clear, concise, and direct in in how we reach and move people. This means we check our biases and assumptions and operate in lean, responsive, and practical ways when it comes to our work with teams.

Fun-seeking

Our work can be deep, emotional, and tough AND also connecting, exciting, and fun. We bring as much of ourselves as we can to our work and the people we meet. And we look for opportunities to recognize and celebrate our differences through connecting and fun moments.

Purpose

Using my gifts to advance the understanding of social power dynamics and generative conflict so that we can deepen the personal and collective uses of power in the world with wisdom and compassion.

Happy place

I approach life with curiosity which brings happiness and deeper relationships. When I am most at peace is when I am in relationship with the natural world and connected with my sense of inherent belongingness. I also enjoy reading books, writing, going on walks and hikes with my partner, and engaging in creativity with my three kids.

Journey

I have lived in many countries and experienced several cultures across my lifetime which has helped me to be flexible in my understanding of the world. Completing my doctorate and being a mother have taught me the necessity of perseverance and self-care. And my relationship with the natural world has taught me what it means to belong to myself and to something greater than myself.

My journey with the Right Use of Power Institute (RUPI) began from a deep curiosity about how power shapes our relationships and communities. I was drawn to this work because I saw how often power is misunderstood or misused, and how much potential there is when we learn to use it with courage and compassion.

At RUPI, I’ve been able to bring together my passions for conflict resolution, equity consciousness, and creative teaching. I love making complex ideas more accessible - whether through visual models, restorative practices, or simple conversations that spark insight. What excites me most is helping people see power not as something to fear, but as a resource for connection, repair, and transformation.

Life-changing moment

The decision to invest time and energy into exploring my shadow and bringing forward the gifts I am meant to bring into the world had a life-changing impact on me. It allowed me to step further into my passions and let go of conventional standards of success. This has been the most important decision of my life - to become fully myself.

Purpose

I help build effective, fun, and successful workplaces by investing in the development and care of leaders and teams at all levels.

Happy place

It's all about impact for me. Seeing the lights come on for a leader, hearing that a team is doing things differently, watching the trajectory of a company change after a reorganization. Impact for me comes through genuine partnership with people and teams, balancing a coaching approach to help them find their own solutions, with a consulting approach to offer experience, learning, and advice. And sometimes, joining in on the work with companies to put new ideas into practice.

My favourite work happens in five core areas: developing leaders, building successful teams, creating strong communication cultures for hybrid workforces, raising company-wide performance, and helping teams work smarter. I'm also passionate about simplifying HR and returning to a People focus.

Journey

I've always been an explorer, a curious person - persistently asking "why?" questions led me into science, into academia and ultimately to a PhD.  In my first career I explored for new oil & gas fields in remote areas around the world.

For the last 10 years I've been exploring workplaces, leadership styles, and testing assumptions that we all make about work. I became a PCC-level credentialed executive coach, and created (and continually refine & update) an 100+ module MBA-level leader development program.

At Challenging Panoramas, I provide people consulting services to small and mid-sized businesses in Canada, the UK, and the Caribbean - supporting everything from developing high-performance cultures to coaching senior leaders through moments of growth and change.

Along the way, I’ve partnered with incredible firms like VIMY HR, The Ally Co., Venture Mentors, Cambridge MC, Elevate Consulting Group, and Scales & Associates.

Life-changing moment

Losing my Dad in his 60s before he could enjoy his long-saved for retirement. What if I could love what I do right now, and not just wait it out until retirement? Especially if retirement never happens. That influenced my career change, and continues to influence all my work to help others enjoy, thrive, and flourish in their 9 to 5.

Purpose

Creating content that truly makes an impact on businesses, helping them achieve their marketing and social media goals.

Happy place

My happy place is when I’m performing at my best, fully focused on my goals. It’s that sense of maximizing my potential and making the most of each day, whether it’s through health, wealth, or spending quality time with family.

Journey

My journey with content creation began back in 2008 on YouTube, where I discovered the power of digital storytelling and connecting with audiences online. What started as a passion project grew into something much bigger - eventually leading to 17 million views in a single month on Instagram and building a community of over 500,000 followers across my platforms. That experience taught me not only how to create content that resonates, but also how to adapt, grow, and innovate in an ever-changing digital landscape.

Today, as Editor-in-Chief at Social Launch Labs, I bring that same creativity and attention to detail to every project I take on. Whether it’s shaping the strategy behind a high-profile campaign or perfecting the details of a small business initiative, I’m passionate about ensuring every piece of content is both polished and powerful. For me, storytelling isn’t just about views—it’s about creating meaningful connections and helping ideas come to life with precision and flair.

Life-changing moment

There have been several pivotal moments in my life that shaped who I am today. Moving to boarding school at 14, then living in Switzerland at 16 to attend one of the world’s top high schools without my family, were both transformative experiences. I had to mature quickly, and I believe these challenges have put me further ahead in life than many at my age.

Purpose

Unlocking the magic of human collaboration and enriching the journeys of teams and organizations by creating space for all voices to be heard.

Happy place

My happy place, both professionally and personally, is wherever I can connect with amazing people. At the heart of these connections is my family, who ground and energize me. My internal battery is recharged by time spent with the people I care about most, and these meaningful moments remind me of what truly matters.

Journey

My journey began in the arts industry. As a naturally creative person, I was drawn to this field and quickly realized my passion for working alongside others and improving operations to benefit the people within them.

Over time, I’ve learned that my creative background allows me to approach operations in unconventional ways—and that true innovation is often born from such unconventionality. This perspective continues to guide my work and fuel my passion for creating impactful change.

Life-changing moment

I was fortunate to have an incredible mentor at a pivotal point in my life. While I cannot pinpoint a single life-changing moment, working with someone who challenged, uplifted, and valued me in such an honest way made me realize the sky is the limit to what we are able to achieve. This ignited a fire that forever changed the trajectory of my career.

Today, I strive to uplift and inspire others as that mentor did for me, helping them achieve heights they once thought unimaginable.

Purpose

I help organizations embed equity into every layer of their work, creating systemic change that resonates with stakeholders, communities and individuals.

Happy place

I’m driven by a vision of equity that’s actionable, human-centered, and transformative. I find peace in movement - whether through a workout, chasing my son Micah, or escaping into a great book or tv show.

Journey

My journey is shaped by my educational background in political science, community engagement, and social justice, paired with my lived experiences as a Black, neurodivergent woman navigating spaces that often challenge my presence.

These intersections inform how I approach equity work: with creativity, vulnerability, and an unwavering commitment to building environments where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.

Through my consulting, I help organizations embed equity, diversity, and inclusion into everything they do - from strategy and operations to programs, services, and communications. I love co-designing solutions alongside communities and guiding leaders to lead with vulnerability, courage, and empathy. My lived experience as a Black, neurodivergent woman shapes how I navigate this work, ensuring it remains both accountable and transformative. At the heart of it all, I’m passionate about building cultures of belonging where people feel seen, valued, and supported.

I am Denyelle Fraser, wife, mother, and founder of More Than Enough Consulting.

Life-changing moment

The birth of my son, Micah, was a transformative moment. It deepened my understanding of what it means to build a world where equity isn’t just an ideal but a reality. Becoming a mother reinforced my commitment to creating spaces where future generations - especially children like mine - can thrive authentically and unapologetically.

Happy place

Spending time with my family, whether that is around the dinner table sharing laughs and stories. I am lucky to have most of my family here in Calgary and getting to spend time with them!

Journey

Back in 2016, I graduated from Mount Royal University in their Broadcasting program. I jumped right into the field with Ride Guide TV helping them catalogue and splice all of their content in the past 15 years.

Shortly after, I got a position with a small startup, Bootkik, as an assistant video editor, and this opportunity was incredible as I was mentored in developing my video editing skills. I created content that was posted on their social media platforms and I knew that this was the field for me.

I have done some freelance work over time, which eventually led me to Virtual Gurus! I have been a part of Virtual Gurus for over a year now and they have put me in touch with incredible organizations such as The Ally Co.!

Life-changing moment

My life-changing moment was when I joined the Calgary Power Hockey League in 2005. The CPHL is a competitive hockey league for people with disabilities and uses a power chair for daily living. The CPHL introduced me to a world I didn't know was possible for me - meeting like-minded individuals who compete week after week. It has also given me the chance to travel across North America and Europe to compete against the best our sport has to offer!

It's incredibly rewarding to see the sport continue to grow as more players join to compete - allowing me to be a mentor like those before me when I originally joined!

Purpose

I help people connect with their power, align with what’s most meaningful, and take positive action towards it.

Happy place

I love all things teaching, facilitating, speaking and consulting. My sweet spot is helping leaders and teams engage in meaningful dialogue, identifying challenges and opportunities and creating the conditions for high levels of trust and engagement. This often looks like:

  • Core Values, Purpose, and Vision Exploration
  • At-Risk vs. At-Stake Understanding + Direction
  • Alignment with Corporate and/or Board Expectations
  • Clear Strategies (choices), Ownership, and Action Plans
  • Effective Communication for Engagement and Action

Journey

Having spent many of my earlier years leading teams and helping to build world-class addiction treatment programs, I’ve developed a skill set and approach to change that is grounded in the human experience and a deep understanding of power and motivation.

I’ve worked with a wide range of leaders (and their teams) over the years, on a single mission - to help build world-class, human-centred organizations that create the kind of impact that we usually only dream about.

Life-changing moment

In my late 20s, halfway through our first pregnancy, I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. This event kicked off a series of life-changing moments, including a TEDx talk, quitting a senior leadership role to pursue life as an entrepreneur, and a deeper focus on living (and helping others live) a meaningful life.

Purpose

Empowering individuals and businesses to harness the power of content creation, enabling them to tell their unique stories.

Happy place

My happy place has always been around cameras, whether I’m in front of them or behind the scenes. I find joy in creating and sharing my own stories, but even more so in helping others bring their stories to life. I truly believe that everyone has a story worth sharing, and there’s always something we can learn from one another. Being part of that storytelling process is what fuels my passion.

Journey

My journey has been full of twists and turns, each shaping who I am today. I started in the TV industry at 15, contributing to talk shows while pursuing a degree in computer science. At 23, I took the leap into entrepreneurship, focusing on the social media space. Along the way, the most valuable parts of my journey have been the people I’ve learned from and the positive support of mentors who guided me through every stage.

Along the way, I earned dual degrees in Computer Science and Business and had the privilege of interviewing leaders and changemakers like Sophie Trudeau and Ted Danson. Those experiences taught me the power of clear, compelling communication - and how to pair creativity with strategy.

Today, as Co-Founder and CEO of Social Launch Labs, I help business owners show up with confidence through purposeful video content. From strategy and scripting to filming and editing, my focus is on creating videos that don’t just look good but truly build trust, visibility, and growth. What excites me most is helping people translate their expertise into content that reflects their voice and values - while making sure it actually drives results. I strive to promote valuable, entertaining, and positive content that counters the spread of harmful and negative media online.

Life-changing moment

A significant turning point in my life came during a challenging time at university when I struggled academically and faced health issues. This experience made me realize I was pursuing a path that wasn’t truly mine but one shaped by the expectations of others. It taught me the importance of following my own goals and defining success on my own terms. I also learned that setbacks and failures are part of the journey—and that life goes on, giving us the chance to grow and move forward.

Happy place

My happy place is spending time with my family. In their presence, I find joy, comfort, and an unshakable sense of belonging. Whether it's over a shared meal, laughter filling the room, or quiet moments of togetherness, each experience becomes a cherished memory. With them, I can let go of the world's weight, recharge my spirit, and be reminded of what truly holds meaning in life.

My career journey spans over 25 years of administrative expertise across various industries. I’ve taken on roles in investor relations, project management, and corporate communications, continuously refining skills in leadership and strategy and to my own personal development and adaptability across different sectors.

Life-changing moment

A life-changing moment for me was the transition from working in corporate environments to owning and operating my own business, Petals & Papery Enterprises Inc. Purpose

Helping others see themselves as leaders of change, while also recognizing the interdependent roles we play in larger systems.

Happy place

My driving force is rooted in fostering growth and connection—both within individuals and the systems they inhabit. Whether through teaching, coaching, or facilitating conversations, I aim to create spaces where people can explore who they are, uncover their strengths, and navigate complexity with compassion and insight.

Outside of work, I find peace and happiness by bodies of water. I grew up close to the ocean, so I have to say the sea definitely has its draw, but there is also something about rivers. Great water grounds me, energizes me, and reminds me of life’s flow.

Journey

My journey as a coach and facilitator has always been about helping leaders shift from urgency to presence. I’ve seen how easy it is for leadership to slip into exhaustion and burnout, and I’m passionate about creating spaces where leaders and teams can slow down, reconnect, and move forward with resilience and care. For me, leadership isn’t just about making decisions - it’s about how we show up in the everyday interactions, the pauses between choices, and the space we hold for others to grow.

Professionally, one of my most significant non-profit leadership happened at Calgary John Howard Society (CJHS), where I deepened my understanding of community impact and collaboration. From there, I transitioned into growing my own business, Invoke Coaching, which allows me to support individuals and teams in a new way.

I draw on nervous-system informed approaches, systems thinking, and reflective practice to help people navigate complexity with insight and confidence. My background includes over a decade in non-profit leadership, a Master of Arts in Leadership from Royal Roads University, and certifications with the International Coaching Federation.

Beyond my practice, I also teach at Mount Royal University and co-run Hawthorn Eco Retreat in Unama’ki, where we weave together hospitality, renewal, and human development. As a queer and neurodivergent person, I bring a perspective that emphasizes co-creation, adaptability, and regenerative leadership - because I believe leadership, like nature, thrives when we honour its rhythms and connections

Life-changing moment

Learning about permaculture was a turning point for me. It helped me see that we are not separate from nature—we’re part of it. This realization changed how I view organizations and systems, showing me that meaningful change happens when we reconnect with the natural rhythms that sustain life. It’s a perspective that now shapes my work, helping others find ways to grow and adapt by embracing the connections we share with the world around us.

Purpose

Building inclusive workplaces where every voice is valued and potential is unlocked through psychological safety.

Happy place

My happy place is when I see people truly connecting - whether it’s a team moving through a powerful learning experience, or friends and family gathered in honest, meaningful conversation. I believe human connection is deeply nourishing, and I cherish opportunities to listen, learn from others, and create spaces where real dialogue sparks lasting change.

Journey

I came to Canada as an international student to pursue my master’s degree in engineering and spent five years working as an engineer. But over time, I began to feel stifled by the workplace cultures I was part of. In 2018, I discovered the concept of psychological safety, and it was like finding the missing piece - something I had long sensed was lacking in many organizations.

That realization reshaped my career and inspired me to found Glee Factor, where I now partner with leaders and organizations worldwide, including Google, SAP, Rio Tinto, BeaverTails, and Desjardins. As a faculty member at McGill Executive Institute, I also share this work with emerging leaders who are shaping the future of work.

Life-changing moment

One of the most profound shifts in my life has been becoming a mother. Thinking about what my four-year-old son will need in the workplace of the future has deepened my commitment to this work. Navigating immigration, a career transition, and now the realities of parenting, I’m driven to help build cultures where he - and others like him - can thrive. This personal lens keeps me focused on why the future of work must be more human, inclusive, and grounded in psychological safety

Purpose

I help courageous, human-centred leaders to take responsibility for themselves, their teams, and their world.

Happy place

I love collaborating, innovating, and creating with others in the People and Workplace Culture space, helping leaders and teams to design meaningful and impactful experiences, services, and relationships. Here's what that can look like:

  • Leading with Human-Centred Design
  • Transforming Culture and Experiences
  • Re-imagining the Employee Journey
  • Building Adaptive Capacity with Autonomous Teams
  • Designing meaningful careers
  • Developing conscious and effective communication skills
  • Learning how to use conflict/tension to innovate and connect

Journey

Self-expression, autonomy, and change have always been leading values of mine, so over the last 20+ years I've had the opportunity to experience a diverse mix of industries, organizations, and roles.

From managing a sales and marketing practice at age 20 in the consumer products industry for global brands like Pepsi, Unilever, Shiseido and Coty Prestige, to leading large and dispersed teams in customer and employee experience and operations for a global investment firm, to helping human-centred leaders and some of North America's best places to work to design and implement impactful workplace experiences - it's all been an incredible journey so far!

Life-changing moment

After years of not listening to my body, and at the age of 30, I got really sick…and my marriage was in jeopardy, we were expecting our first kiddo, I’d resigned from my high-paying job in beautiful SE Asia, and we were heading back to Canada with no home or employment.

I made the decision to use what I’d learned, and put my energy into humanizing the workplace - a structure and collective that holds the power to enrich the lives of its people and community.

Journey

I am the founder and a Senior Consultant and Coach at Cortical Consulting & Coaching, where we help businesses harness the power of applied neuroscience to navigate today’s challenges, optimize performance, and build resilience in a constantly changing world.

My journey is rooted in a passion for helping leaders and teams unlock their potential and perform at their best. With over 25 years of experience in human resources, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness, I’ve had the privilege of working with teams across Canada, the US, and New Zealand. What I’ve learned along the way is that real transformation happens when we combine strategy with people-centered practices - and when we lead with authenticity.

I love equipping organizations with the tools they need to navigate change, build resilience, and thrive in complex environments. I hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of New Brunswick and a Master of Business Administration from Henley Business School in the United Kingdom.

Life-changing moment

My life changing moment happened when I was orphaned at 15 years old. I learned the value of perseverance and hard work to create the life you want and deserve. Without a safety net, I had to trust my instincts, ask for help and bet on myself.

I feel blessed to have had a solid foundation and with support,  self-reliance and resilience I have learned to overcome many challenges with curiosity and grace.

Happy place

I feel most alive when I’m facilitating meaningful conversations with leaders and teams, watching breakthroughs unfold in real time. Outside of work, my happy place is anywhere in nature - mountains, rivers, oceans - especially with my son, my dog Holly, and a guitar nearby.

Journey

Over the past 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of leading, building, and scaling businesses across industries, from early-stage startups to Fortune 100 companies. Along the way, I’ve worn many hats - entrepreneur, consultant, coach, innovator - and led teams of 5 to 50+ across cultures worldwide.

I founded Tina Mathas & Co. to bring this experience together, helping leaders operationalize vision, align performance, and embrace innovation. Today, my work blends neuroscience, AI, and what I call the “Pirate Mindset” - a bold, human-centered approach that empowers leaders to challenge the status quo and create lasting impact.

Life-changing moment

A pivotal shift in my journey was realizing that leadership is, at its core, about love. I’ve seen leadership done brilliantly and leadership done poorly, and I made a commitment to become the leader I always wished I had.

In an era where AI is reshaping our world, I believe it’s more important than ever to lead with empathy, courage, and connection. That realization continues to fuel my mission to redefine leadership - blending heart and mind, strategy and soul.

Purpose

I help individuals and organizations break free from autopilot, embrace conscious leadership, and create meaningful change.

Happy place

My happy place is at the intersection of connection and growth - whether guiding teams through transformative processes, mentoring leaders toward conscious decision-making, or exploring new ideas that inspire meaningful and sustainable change.

Personally, I find peace in nature, whether hiking through a forest, paddling or surfing on open water, or simply soaking in the stillness. I also cherish moments around the table with loved ones, sharing laughter, nourishing meals, and creating memories that ground and uplift me.

Journey

My professional path has been shaped by a commitment to curiosity, intentional growth, and leaving the world in a better place. After beginning my career as a management and strategy consultant at firms like Arthur Andersen and Bain & Company, I shifted to mission-driven roles at One Acre Fund and FSG.

I’ve been fortunate to partner with teams both large and small across over 40 client projects. More recently I spent nearly a decade transforming employee experience and leading diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts at a global social impact consultancy. From working with smallholder farmers in Kenya to facilitating training on power dynamics and equity, my journey has spanned continents and sectors, blending analytical expertise with heart-centered collaboration.

Today, I operate and consult through my own practice, Journey Together LLC. I specialize in helping people and organizations break out of autopilot and operate with more awareness and intention. Through coaching, facilitation, workshops, and consulting, I support leaders in clarifying their goals, practicing more skillful choice-making, and embedding equity and inclusion across the full employee lifecycle. At the heart of my work, I strive to blend analytical rigor with deep collaboration - because sustainable transformation comes from pairing strategy with humanity.

Life-changing moment

In my early 30s, my body forced me to confront the unsustainable pace at which I was living and working. I felt unfulfilled and was disconnected from my values. Seeking a reset, I moved to rural Kenya where I immersed myself in work more aligned with my purpose and experienced a very different way of life. When I returned to the U.S., I intentionally chose a smaller city, aiming to break free from big-city habits and explore a simpler, more connected lifestyle - including commuting by bike. Years later, I not only embraced cycling but discovered a deep love for the outdoors, from solo backpacking to learning how to surf.

Riding waves - both literal and metaphorical - has taught me to embrace unpredictability, find the lessons in so-called “failures,” and find joy in the process. These experiences profoundly shape the way I approach my work and relationships.
